The Markham Museum held a 2-day festival in Markham on July 28 and 29 to celebrate the diverse communities represented in their city.
The museum is a community heritage site that has been operating for 35 years. It includes a 25-acre historic village with Victorian homes, a log cabin, a train station and a saw- mill. The museum's mandate is to educate the public through special events, educational programming and exhibits.
The festivities included delicious food, mini rides, displays, a tour of historical sites and cultural performances.
The Tian Guo Marching Band Of Canada was invited to perform on June 29. After sharing the wonderful music with the audience, many spectators were impressed with the powerful representation.
Matthew Wright of the Markham Museum exclaimed that the performance was amazing and he invited the Tian Guo Marching Band to attend the upcoming Wine Festival in the fall.
