The Tian Guo Marching Band
The Tian Guo Marching Band is an international phenomenon, existing in seven countries of the world. The first band was formed in New York City, U.S.A. in December 2005. Shortly after, branches formed in Western U.S.A., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan and Europe.
Although members are ethnically and culturally diverse, the majority of performers are Chinese. The age range for the musicians is from 10 to 66 and each band has 100-300 performers.
All musicians practice Falun Dafa, a self-improvement practice consisting of meditation, exercises and living according to the Universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.
The same in that the band is enthusiastically welcomed, applauded and asked to return.
The Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada operates under the Lian Hua Arts Group, a registered no-profit organization in Canada dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese cultural art forms.

"Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada", formed in April 2006, has branches in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
Uniquely diverse with around 350 members from all walks of life and ethnic backgrounds, "Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada" truly represents the multicultural society we are so proud of and has become the largest predominantly Chinese marching band in Canada.
Along with practicing their instruments each member practices Falun Dafa exercises and its creed of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" inspires them to perform with strength of heart and moral character.
Music is the universal language that overcomes all boundaries of cultures and creeds and "Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada" brings happiness and applause wherever they perform. To hear them is to love them.
Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada has participated in over 150 parades including Santa Clause Parades in 11 cities, St. Patrick Day Parades in Ottawa. Montreal and Toronto, Canada Day Parade in Montreal, Caribbean Carnival Parade in Toronto, and Niagara Grape and Wine Festival Grand Parade in St. Catherines. The band has also participated in ethnic community events, like: Korean Dano Festival, Philippine Independence Day Festival, Russian Carousel Festival, and Taiwan National Day Parade. The band received warm applause and praise wherever it went.
