The Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival was held on June 23 and 24, 2007 in Victoria Park, Kitchener. This was the 40th year for the celebration of the beginning of summer and the ethnic diversity of the communities in the area.
The fair included an international marketplace featuring gifts and handicrafts from both local and international artisans. The aroma of tasty foods from several countries such as Greece, Latin America, Ethiopia, China and India filled the air. There were also activities for the children.
On June 23, 2007, The Tian Guo Marching Band performed 5 songs on stage. Prior to the performance, the Drum Major and a band member presented the audience with a brief history of the band in both English and Chinese. After the performance, the band members demonstrated the sitting meditation for the spectators.
The crowd warmly welcomed the Tian Guo Marching Band and applauded enthusiastically.
