Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Parade, March 16, 2014 The 27th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade commenced at 12:00 pm in downtown Toronto. Over 100 floats and marching bands participated. Despite the chilly weather, thousands of spectators lined the streets. This is the 8th year in a row that The Tian Guo Marching Bad participated. They were well received by celebrities, organizers and audience members. The Deputy Mayor of Toronto, Norm Kelly, is of Irish descent. He praised the music performed by The Tian Guo Marching Band saying, “It’s always so wonderful!” A group of Korean students commented that the music was majestic. They wished the band members good luck. Bill from Toronto said, “I have seen them several times. They always bring inspirations. I am grateful that such a group is here”. A woman called Noreen danced with the music and commented, “Falun Gong practitioners bring wonderfulness to the world. I support and thanks them”.
