Saint Jean Baptiste Day, which is a public holiday in Quebec, is a day to remember John the Baptist, a Jewish preacher who baptized Jesus Christ. Various events are held in celebration, including a parade.
On Monday, June 24 at 6 pm, a parade was held in Valleyfield, Quebec. Tian Guo Marching Band members from Montreal and Toronto participated. Just prior to the parade, ominous dark clouds appeared and the rain poured down. However, this didn't discourage the crowds of people who lined the streets. Spectators clapped enthusiastically, cheered and screamed "Bravo!'' in response to the band's performance.
