Scarborough celebrated the nation’s 143rd birthday with the 40th annual Canada Day Parade on July 1, 2010. The parade began at 5:00 p.m. at Scarborough Civic Centre.

This is the second year that The Tian Guo Marching Band participated. Spectators gave the band a warm welcome and many audience members praised the performance of the band.

Mrs. Turner, a resident of Scarborough, watched the parade with her two small children. She said, “I love Falun Dafa”. Khamid viewed the parade with his family of six and stated, “Thank-you for bringing such a good gift on Canada Day”. When Amy from the Philippines saw the band she exclaimed, “I am very excited. Thank-you very much”.
