2008 marked the 40th anniversary of the Oktoberfest Bavarian Festival in Kitchener- Waterloo.http://www.oktoberfest.ca/.

The parade was held on Sunday, October 14 and there were over 100 entries in the 7.2 km march.

This was the second year in a row that The Tian Guo Marching Band was invited and about 120 members participated.

Audience members were very enthusiastic, and applauded the Falun Gong Band after each song. People also seemed to enjoy the attractive new uniforms.

One organizer estimated that approximately 200, 000 spectators watched the parade. Another organizer approached the band and invited members to attend an upcoming parade.
