Canada celebrates it's birthday every year on July 1st. 2023 marks the 156th birthday of the country. Celebrations of various kinds are held across Canada on this national holiday.

A popular event is the annual Mississauga Canada Day Parade. This year the parade kicked off at 11 AM in the neighbourhood of  Port Credit. The route commenced adjacent to the waterfront and then wound it's way up and along the Lakeshore. The streets were packed with entusiastic spectators who thoroughly enjoyed the performance of the Tian Guo Marching Band.
