Oshawa Fiesta Parade, June 20, 2010

The 38th annual Fiesta Parade was held in Oshawa on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. (www.fiestaweek.com).

This is the 4th consecutive year that the Tian Guo Marching Band has participated but the 1st year that they were asked to open the week- long event with the playing of the National Anthem.

Mr. Nester Pidwerbecki, the Deputy Mayor of Oshawa, commented, " I have seen the Tian Guo Band several times and notice that every year you are growing and getting bigger. I welcome you people to be here again and please come back next year".

Mr. Richard Navidson, chair of the local Folks Art Council, said that he had seen the band perform in several cities and was impressed. Mr. Farley Flex, a judge for The Canadian Idol for 6 years, said, "The band is really great".
