Toronto Easter Day Parade, March 23, 2008

On Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, the Toronto Beaches Easter Parade was held. The parade was ranked as the 2nd largest Easter Parade in the world and this year an estimated 50,000 spectators attended.

This is the first time that the Tian Guo Marching Band was invited to join the event. The parade organizer had seen the band perform a week earlier at the St. Patrick's Day Parade, and then extended an invitation.

Although the weather was cold, the sun was shining brightly and the throngs of people lining the streets gave the Tian Guo Marching Band a warm welcome. After the parade, a bystander thanked the writer for their performance, saying he really enjoyed having the band play. The parade organizer was very happy with the band's participation and expressed his wish that they return next year.
