Napanee Santa Clause Parade, December 1st 2007

The Napanee Santa Clause Parade commenced on Saturday December 1st at 6:30 p.m. at the Napanee District High School. It was reminiscent of an old fashioned Christmas with the bright lights of the floats, snow on the ground, icy roads and temperatures that reached 12 below zero.

This was the first time that The Tian Guo Marching Band attended. One of theorganizer's saw the band in Kingston, Ontario earlier this year, and stated that sincethey were so fantastic, they decided to invite them to Napanee.

The thousands of spectators bravely faced the cold weather in order to watch theparade. The crowd was enthusiastic and gave compliments such as "You're great,thank-you for coming and Merry Christmas, all along the parade route. After theparade, several spectators approached a band member and commented: "You are agreat band". Another person asked where the band originated and when he heard itwas Toronto, he said he was very happy to see The Tian Guo Marching Band in Napanee.
