Calgary Stampede Parade, July 4, 2014

 

As the Calgary Stampede parade kicked off the Calgary Stampede festivities on July 4, 2014, tens of thousands people rushed to the grand celebration to take in the rodeo, exhibitions, and festival showcasing Calgary's agricultural heritage. 
With over 100 years of history, the Calgary Stampede in Alberta, Canada, is famous for its long route, large number of participants and huge number of spectators, making it the second largest parade in the world.

Hundreds of thousands of people come to the 10-day Calgary Stampede each year, for a special celebration filled with entertainment, rodeo events, and diverse cultures mingling to make up the “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.”

The Tian Guo Marching Band was comprised of 100 members from Vancouver, Toronto and Seattle. Audience members gave them a warm welcome and complimented the band on their performance. A spectator named Laura said, “This group is awesome. The energy is so special, it moved me to tears”.
