Ottawa St. Patrick’s Day Parade, March 10, 2012

The Ottawa Irish Festival is an annual celebration of Irish and Irish-Canadian culture. The week- long event includes music, poetry, song, dance, language, theatre, sport and a parade.

This was the 59th year of the festivity. Tian Guo Marching Band members from Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto participated in the parade that commenced at 11:00 am in the downtown core.

Although it was extremely cold, over 10,000 spectators lined the streets and applauded the band. Many audience members expressed their appreciation of the band’s performance.
