The 50th annual Toronto Easter Parade kicked off at 2:00 pm in the Toronto beaches area on Sunday, March 27.
The sunny, mild weather attracted 50,000 spectators. There were 88 entries in the parade and the Tian Guo Marching Band was the only Asian entry.
Audience members cheered the marching band all along the parade route. Some danced to the music, some gave the band a thumbs-up, and others called out, “Welcome Falun Dafa!”
One of the parade organizers, Carol McCague commented, “We really like the Divine Land Marching Band. What a joy to listen to their performances. A parade has nothing without a band. They make the parade, so, the more the merrier.
Ms. Jennider Grose from Calgary was impressed by the performance of the band. “Well done! Terrific!” she said.
Toronto residents Rachel and her husband Raymond kept applauding as the marching band approached. “I love them, this is the best,” said Rachel.
