Kitchener- Waterloo has been hosting Oktoberfest celebrations for 54 years. On Thanksgiving Day, October 9, 2023 at 8:30 am, the largest Thanksgiving Parade in Canada kicked off. Despite the cold, windy weather, thousands of people lined the streets in the dowtown core.

The Tian Guo Marching Band was given a warm welcome. Spectators encouraged the band along the route by cheering, applauding and taking photos and videos of the performance.
